The future looks bright for country star Dierks Bentley, as his songwriting has developed through different stages in his life. In the span of his career, he has gone from a single man with a love for the free life to a husband and father who understands deep emotions. No matter what his subject matter, Bentley seems to be able to do no wrong with fans. His popularity is sure to grow even more as he is sharing tour dates with country superstar Brad Paisley. At a recent stop in California, Bentley recalled his early days of success. He told the Orange County Register, "It took a while for me to just get comfortable hearing my own voice, but I still don't like to watch myself in videos. When a song comes on the radio I reach over and turn it up just like the first time I heard it. I love country music and hearing my songs through the radio - it's still good for me. I love listening to the songs and I start thinking about when I wrote it and what it was like in the studio recording it. I just love it."
Bentley will remain as busy as ever this fall, as he is also set to take time out of his schedule for a charity fund-raiser. The event is his Miles & Music for Kids celebrity motorcycle ride and concert, which will be held on October 11 in Nashville. The motorcycle ride will be from the Cold Spring Harley Dealership in Franklin, Tennessee to Riverfront Park where the concert will take place. Bentley will be joined by many other stars for the concert, which will benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Michelle Branch, Heidi Newfield, Wynonna Judd, Eric Church and Darius Rucker have already signed on to perform. This will be the first of other similar events he will host around the United States in 2009 and 2010. Fans can see him in concert themselves by getting Dierks Bentley tickets online.
Dierks Bentley is from Phoenix, Arizona and was raised on country greats like Hank Williams and George Strait. When he entered his teens, he started playing the guitar and caught a passion for music. Bentley moved to make his dream a reality by heading to Nashville when he was 19. He took a day job at the Nashville Network and performed at highly-selective music clubs by night. It wasn't just the clubs that Dierks treated to his sound, however, as he played for anyone who would hear him. His hard work finally paid off in 2003, when he signed to Capitol Nashville and released his self-titled debut album. The single "What Was I Thinkin'" pushed him into mainstream spotlight. He had the opposite of a sophomore slump with 2005's Modern Day Drifter, which featured singles like "Lot of Leavin' Left to Do" and "Come a Little Closer." He followed with Long Trip Alone in 2006, another massive success. His latest release, Feel That Fire, was released in February of 2009 and has yielded singles like "Sideways" and "I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes."
